Practical information

The conference will take place at the Centre de la Mer de l'Aber Wrac'h. This is a beautiful location overlooking the sea in the `Pays des Abers' near Brest in the heart of Brittany. The centre boasts a panoramic restaurant, a large well equipped lecture hall, as well as computer facilities with wired or wireless internet access. Most of the accomodation is on-site, with each room having its own facilities. We have also booked several rooms in l'Auberge de Keralloret. Participants will have the opportunity to sample local seafood in some fine resaurants and if they wish, to participate in nautical recreation activities.

How to get there from Paris

By Train to Brest . There are two possibilities: For the train timetable, consult the web site SNCF. If you arrive at Brest railway station on Sunday 9th September, a mini-bus run by the organisers will take you where you will be staying. You should let the organisers know your arrival time.

By plane to Brest. There are two possibilities:

For information concerning flights, consult the web site Brest airport. On arrival at the airport Brest-Guipavas you are about 10 kms from the center of Brest. Participants arriving by plane should tell the organisers their time of arrival. A mini-bus will collect you and take you to where you will be staying.

How to stay there

All rooms have been booked from Sunday September 9th until Friday September 14th, i.e. 5 nights. The participation fee will include lodging, breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee breaks during the whole conference and will be 200 euros. The participation fee is due on Tuesday September 11th, preferably by credit card. There is a possibility to stay until Saturday 15th September.

How to leave Aber Wrac'h

A mini-bus will take you back to Brest on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. There is also a possibility to take a regular bus to Brest at any time during the week. Consult the time table.
